How can I pay with my credit card if I don’t have a PayPal account?

First, you don’t need to have a PayPal account to pay with your credit card. Here is how it works.

1. When you’ve gone to the checkout, you will see a large button named Proceed To PayPal. Click it and you’re taken to PayPal:

2. On PayPal the tab named Pay with my PayPal account is automatically open but below that section you see a link Don’t have a PayPal account?. Click the link and a new section opens.

3. Because accepted credit cards by PayPal vary depending on the country, first select your Country. Then you can begin selecting the credit card you want to use for payment and fill out the card details.

Remember that you’re on a secure, encrypted page on PayPal, so filling in your credit card details is safe.

The fields First Name and Last Name are already filled in based on your checkout information earlier in the shop, but you can change them so they match your credit card.

4. When you’ve filled in all the requested information, click the Pay Now button at the bottom of the section. PayPal will let you know if any information is missing.

After the payment is done, you will instantly receive an email containing download links for the ordered items. You also receive an email with your user name and password to access to your personal account on favoritepatterns.com where the ordered items are also available for download.

How do I apply a coupon?

There are two places where you can apply a coupon:

1. On the Cart page

Doesn’t matter where you are on favoritepatterns.com, clicking Cart in the upper right corner takes you to the Cart page.

In the box next to the description of the pattern (or several ones) you wan to order you find the field to insert the coupon code. Clicking Apply Coupon will deduct the coupon amount (based on percentage or dollars, depending on the type of coupon) and you can continue with shopping or go straight to the Checkout.

2. On the Checkout – Order Review page

After you’ve filled in your checkout details, most of all your email address so we can send you the download link(s) for the ordered patterns, you’re taken to the order review page. Above is the Apply Coupon field for you to fill in. Please check that the amount in the Cart Subtotal changes accordingly.

How do I order a pattern?

On the homepage or a product category, or on an individual product page simply click Add to Cart and you’re taken right away to the Checkout.

On the Checkout page you see a thumbnail image of the pattern you added please a reminder that you are not buying a finished garment but detailed instructions on how to do it yourself.

If you don’t want to check out yet, you could simply return to the homepage by clicking the favoritepatterns.com logo in the header or choose something from the menu.

Filling out the checkout details

If you’re ready to check out, fill out the details that we need to send you the ordered item(s):

Please note that automatically an account on favoritepatterns.com is created for you upon ordering. This is so you can later login and check your order history, download the ordered items – in case you don’t want to download them directly from the order confirmation email.

Provide any additional information you like.

Review your order and apply a coupon (if you have one)

Before the order is complete, you may apply a coupon (if you have one):

Review your order one last time, so you’re sure you get what you want. Remember that because these are intangible, digitial items there are no refunds, so we want to make sure you receive the correct item(s).

Proceed to PayPal to make the payment

With PayPal you have two possibilities: The first one is the most simple one and fastest. You simply log in to your PayPal account and pay directly from it:

The available cards might vary depending on your country. PayPal will allow you to review the order. You then send it off by clicking the “Pay Now” button. You will instantly receive an email containing download links for the ordered items, please see the top of this page for more details and screenshots.

Depending on your mail provider (web-mail or using a mail application) the order confirmation email with the download link(s) to the ordered pattern might have landed in your “spam” or “junk” mail inbox.

Where are my ordered patterns?

The moment you have completed payment via PayPal,you receive an email that contains download links. For the complete order process, please see below “How do I order a pattern?”.

Below you see such an email. Underneath each item you’ve ordered you see Download Link. If your pattern comes with several digital items, they will be numbered 1, 2 and so on. The actual link is the button in the favoritepatterns.com logo color. Click it and your download begins.

As an alternative you can download your items from your account, which has been automatically created during the checkout process (unless you uncheck the checkbox). You should now be logged in and see My Account in the header section:

When you click My Account you see an overview of all available downloads. So if you have missed the email, you can still see all downloadable items here.

If you decide to log out later and want to log in again, there’s a separate email with your login name and password. If you’ve lost the password, you can create a new one automatically. And if that fails, feel free to contact us.

Why do I get an email saying that an account has been opened for me?

When you’re ready to check out a pattern, you’re taken to the checkout details page, where you need to enter your email address, so we can send you an email with download links to the pattern description and other files.

However, there’s another way to access the pattern you bought: via your account on favoritepatterns.com. To make it easy for you, we create this account automatically for you based on your email address. After the checkout is finished and PayPal has confirmed your payment, you will be automatically logged in and you can access the pattern(s) you ordered by clicking My Account in the left corner of the website header.

If you do not want an account – note that it will only be used for your convenience, so you can access the files and view your order history, we will not spam you with mails! – simply uncheck the checkbox CREATE AN ACCOUNT.
